Seth Michael Forman

SETH MICHAEL FORMAN received a B.A. from the State University of New York at Potsdam in 1984, and received an MFA and a President’s Merit Scholarship from the School of Visual Arts in New York in 1989. He is the recipient of two Painting Fellowships from the New York Foundation for the Arts. His work has been exhibited in over fifty exhibitions, including solo shows at Adam Baumgold Gallery in New York, Bernard Toale Gallery in Boston, Dean Jensen Gallery in Milwaukee, Miller Block Gallery in Boston, Cavin-Morris Gallery in New York, and Penine Hart Gallery in New York. Selected group exhibitions include the New Museum of Contemporary Art, Saatchi and Saatchi, Eybeam, Visual Arts Museum, DC Moore Gallery, Frederick Petzel Gallery, and Bill Maynes Gallery. Images and reviews of his work have appeared in numerous publications including the New York Times, the Boston Globe, the New Yorker, the New York Sun, the Boston Herald, Harper’s Magazine, the New Art Examiner, the Art Journal, The Oxford American, as well as in a documentary-interview on NJT Public Television. Seth Michael Forman lives and works in Brooklyn, New York and Falls Village, Connecticut.

At the Center, Seth teaches Painting, levels 1, 2, and 3.
