David Butler

DAVID BUTLER graduated with a BFA at Georgia State University and an MFA from the University of Washington.

As a jeweler and sculptor, his work has been extensively exhibited. Recent exhibitions include The Art of Gold, Sacramento, California, and New Steel, Memphis, Tennessee, and in NYC, at the Aaron Faber Gallery. He has also worked with other designers, collaborating to bring ideas to fruition, including Donna Karan, and Leila Tai. He also is involved with museum exhibition design and installation, including the well the recent and well received Lost World of Old Europe, at the NYU Institute for the Study of Ancient Europe. He has also worked with the Folk Art Museum, The Brooklyn Museum, The Rubin Museum, the Guggenheim, and others.

An instructor at Westchester Center for the Arts, he is also an assistant professor on the faculty at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn.

At the Center, Butler teaches Jewelry Design, Metalsmithing, and Lost Wax Casting.
