Computer Use

Computers in the open areas on the main floor and second floor of the Library have Internet access only. They are intended for student research of the Library’s online databases and the global Internet, and students working on assignments have priority in their use.  Word processing is also available.

Computers in the open lab on the ground floor are available to any student on a first-come-first-served basis. There is word processing at these workstations, as well as the other standard college networked software and selected specialized applications. Students must sign in and show a currently valid WCC ID card to use the lab.

Currently registered students, faculty, staff, and administrators may access the Library’s subscription databases from any remote computer with Internet access. Off-campus use requires a username and password. An instruction page for creating and entering your username and password will appear on the website when you attempt to access the databases from off-campus.
