and New Media courses
are uniquely offered at the
Peekskill Extension Center. Learning
objectives for the design and new
media arts curriculum focuses on
a digital arts education and essential
skills applicable
to the students academic and/or professional
goals. All courses utilizes
the lastest software version and
industry standard programs taught
in seven state-of-the-art computer
studio labs for graphic design, web,
video/film, animation and music technologies.
Most credit
classes run 15 weeks and may lead
to a Comptuer Arts Certificate and/or
an Associate degree in the Visual
and Performing Arts. Students may
benefit from transfer opportunities
at some of the country’s
leading colleges and universities.
Design and New Media internship opportunities
offer comprehensive professional
career development at notable Westchester
county and surrounding metropolitan
studios.

representing their creative and technical
skills in design and new media.
Non-Credit
for Professionals and Pre-Teen courses
offer a variety of new media non-credit six hour
workshops for the professional and after school classes
for teens, as well as summer offerings. QUICKSTART
workshops are designed for the professional to
refresh skills or to learn new software programs.
Peekskill's New Media Center offers pre-college classes
for teens to explore new technology and careers.
