The 18-hour American Red Cross emergency response course for those individuals who are first on the accident scene.

Save a Life with CPR

Phlebotomy
Introduces basic concepts, procedures used for obtaining blood from veins and capillaries, use of appropriate equipment, and types of blood tubes. Prerequisite: Infection Control for Phlebotomy Students. Bring a bag lunch.

Phlebotomy II
Includes preparation for IV administration of fluids, how to purge IV lines, calculate drops/minute, and perform blood collection for special procedures. Prerequisite: Phlebotomy and Infection Control for Phlebotomy Students. Upon successful completion of Phlebotomy and Phlebotomy II, students are eligible to take the Certified Phlebotomy Tech Examination offered by the National Healthcareer Association. Bring a bag lunch.

Electrocardiography (ECG)
Introduction to the techniques necessary to perform a twelve-lead electrocardiogram, troubleshooting technical problems, and normal and common abnormal rates. Prerequisite: Infection Control for Phlebotomy Students. Upon successful course completion, students are eligible to take the Certified ECG Tech Examination offered by the National Healthcareer Association. Bring a bag lunch.

Certified Nursing Assistant
