Whether your heart bleeds red or blue, Chicago City Limits has the political comedy cure: a special pre-election show. The cast goes head-to-head with the faces, places and events that shape the 2008 election. Taking issue with the issues, members combine the very best in sketch comedy, musical theatre and audience-inspired improvisations. This troupe brings to life debatable debates, candid candidates, and the carnage of the campaign trail in this smart and timely show!

AN EVENING WITH GROUCHO
Saturday, April 25 // 8:00 pm
Award-winning actor/director/playwright Frank Ferrante recreates his PBS-acclaimed portrayal of legendary comedian Groucho Marx in this fast-paced evening of hilarity. The two-act comedy consists of the best Groucho one-liners, anecdotes and songs including “Hooray for Captain Spalding” and “Lydia, the Tattooed Lady.” Accompanied by his onstage pianist, Jim Furmston, Ferrante portrays the young Groucho of stage and film and reacquaints us with the likes of brothers Harpo, Chico, Zeppo and Gummo, Charlie Chaplin,W.C. Fields, Greta Garbo, Margaret Dumont and MGM’s Louis B. Mayer.
