Service Learning 101: Bringing Service and Learning Together
Guest Speaker: Courtney Anstett, M.S., Service Learning Coordinator Norwalk Community College
This program is targeted for Westchester Community College faculty who desire to incorporate Service Learning into their teaching and learning. The purpose of this faculty training is to inform faculty of the fundamentals of Service Learning. Additional topics will include best practices for developing productive community partnerships, facilitating critical reflection, and viewing Service Learning as a career preparation strategy. Gaining knowledge and skills in this initiative will enhance confidence in and ability to provide high impact learning experiences for students.
