CAP & GOWN ORDERS All graduates must order a cap and
gown if they are participating in the Graduation Ceremony on May
23, 2013. Caps and gowns are free for all graduates.
All graduates must order their cap and gown by Thursday, April
4. If you do not place an order for a cap and gown by the
deadline, we cannot guarantee one will be available to you for
the Ceremony.

GRADUATION REHEARSAL To explain the
expectations and procedures for the Graduation Ceremony, Dr.
Joseph Hankin, President of Westchester Community College, and
other College leadership will be hosting a Graduation Rehearsal
on Monday, May 20 in the Academic Arts Theater. Please
note the following times:
- Graduates with a last name starting with A through
L will have rehearsal at 12:00pm.
- Graduates with a last name starting with M through
Z will have rehearsal at 2:30pm.
All graduates are expected to attend at their assigned time.
GRADUATION GUEST TICKETS
All graduates will be able to bring up to three (3) guests to
the Graduation Ceremony on May 23. Admission into the
County Center will only be given to guests with a Graduation
Guest Ticket. Each graduate will receive three
(3) guest tickets when they pick up their cap and gown.
See the section titled CAP & GOWN DISTRIBUTION for pick-up,
dates, times and locations. Due to limited
seating, no extra tickets will be available.
Please note that graduates will not need guest tickets to gain
entry into the County Center.

All graduates will need to bring a photo ID and their
completed photography card with them to pick up their cap &
gown.
PHOTOGRAPHY & NAME CARD
All graduates are required to fill out a photography & name
card when picking up their cap and gown. This card will be
used when reading off the names of each graduate at the Ceremony
and to help identify you to the photographer when mailing you a
proof of your photo. Cards will be distributed
when students pick up their cap & gown. See the section
titled CAP & GOWN DISTRIBUTION for pick-up, dates, times and
locations.
COMMENCEMENT DAY
INFORMATION
The Graduation Ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 23,
2013 at 6:00pm at the County Center, located at 198 Central
Avenue, White Plains, NY. Graduates should plan
to arrive at the County Center between 4:30pm – 5:00pm and
proceed to the lower level. Graduation procession will
begin promptly at 5:45pm. Admission for guests
(non-graduates) into the County Center will only be given to
those with a Graduation Guest Ticket. Due to the
limited parking and increased traffic in the area of the County
Center, please include extra time in your travel in order to
arrive safely and on time for the Ceremony. Parking is not free
at the County Center and all graduates and their guests will
have to pay a nominal fee.

AUGUST 2013 GRADUATION INFORMATION
If you have not already applied for graduation and will
have completed all of your degree and/or certificate
requirements by August 31st 2013, the
last date to apply as August 2013 graduate is
Thursday August 15th. You must
complete an Application for Graduation in the Registrar’s
Office. Please verify you are listed in the correct curriculum,
and before submitting your application. The Registrar’s Office
is located in the Administration Building, Room 107. Our office
hours are Monday – Thursday 9:00 a.m. -7:30 p.m. and Summer
Friday hours 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. **Please note an
email will be sent to your WCC email address with graduation
updates. All notifications will be sent ONLY to your WCC email
account. If you have not already done so, please activate your
WCC email account immediately and check it regularly. You have
the option of linking your WCC email to your personal email. See
