Westchester Community College Student EventsNew Student Orientation Dear Parent/Guardian: On Tuesday, August 26th, Wednesday, August 27thh and Thursday, August 28th, Westchester Community College will be hosting its New Student Orientation Program in the Academic Arts Theater from 7:30 am to 12:00 noon. By now your son/daughter should have received a post card advising him/her of the date for his/her orientation. In addition, in an effort to provide valuable information to the parents of our new students, we have developed a Parent Information Session that will take place on the same dates as your child’s orientation, at 9:00 am in the Classroom Building Room 200. There will be a Hot Buffet Style breakfast (parent/ guardian only) served from 7:30 am-8:45 am. in the Cafeteria, located in the Student Center Building (pkg lot #8). If you chose not to attend the breakfast, we ask that you be in the Classroom Building Room 200 by 8:45 am. You will get an overview of the college and the different programs offered at the college. We will provide you with information about the Counseling Department and learn about the Student Life Program. The brief program will be followed by a question and answer period and a panel information session. We hope you take advantage of this opportunity and join us in making your child’s college experience at Westchester Community College a memorable one. For easy access to the parent orientation, we encourage you to park in Parking Lot 8. If you are interested in participating, please respond by returning the response card to the Office of Student Affairs by Thursday, August 21stst.
