Westchester Community College Paralegal Program FacultyJames Fabian, Esq. James Fabian joined the firm of Nixon Peabody in April 1994 after ten years at the New York Hospital where he served as Vice President and Deputy Counsel. At the hospital, Mr. Fabian was involved in all of the hospital's legal affairs, both health care and non-health care related. His broad based experience includes the handling of legal matters in such substantive areas as commercial transactions, affiliation arrangements, acquisitions, managed care, fraud and abuse, medical malpractice, professional and general liability insurance, risk management, medical staff membership, residency training programs, patient's rights and interactions with governmental regulatory agencies. Mr. Fabian also has experience handling personal injury, product liability and commercial litigations. Mr. Fabian is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the New York State Courts. Mr. Fabian is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association.
