Certified Fiber Optics Technician Course
(CFOT)
This introductory 3-day fiber optics course is designed for anyone
interested in becoming a Certified Fiber Optics Technician. This program
prepares the student to take the CFOT (Certified Fiber Optics Technician)
test, sanctioned by the FOA (Fiber Optics Association), which is given and
graded on the final class day.
Suggested Prerequisite: Basic working knowledge of computers. Ability
to see and identify small items and to speak and understand the English
language.

Certified Fiber Optics Specialist in Testing & Maintenance
(CFOS/T)
This 2-day program offers advanced training to anyone involved with the
testing and maintenance of fiber optics networks. A focal point in the
program is to offer a general, easy to understand, approach to fiber
optics testing standards with little theory and considerable hands on
activities. Prerequisite: CFOT
Course or another formal Fiber Optics Training Course within preceding 6
months, or 1-year fiber optics related experience. Must have taken and
passed the Basic CFOT Exam prior to registering for CFOS/T with the FOA.

Certified Fiber Optics Splicing Specialist Course
(CFOS/S)
This 2-day program provides an overview of OTDR functions and trace
understanding.
Hands-on
classroom activities will provide training in both fusion and mechanical
splicing of both single and multi mode fiber optic cables. Both inside and
outside plant fiber optic cable types will be utilized along with inside
and outside plant enclosures and splice trays.
Suggested
Prerequisite: CFOT Course or
another formal Fiber Optics Training course within preceding 6 months, or
1 year fiber optics related experience, specifically experience with fiber
preparation, termination, and testing and a thorough knowledge of fiber
optic safety practices.
Note: Anyone can attend
this program. However, those wishing to become registered with the FOA as
a Certified Fiber Optic Specialist in Splicing (CFOS/S) must have taken
and passed the Basic CFOT Exam.

Classroom-Based Home Inspection Training Program
Our hands-on program will show you how to succeed as a professional home
inspector. The courses and field training provide you with a step-by-step
process to execute a complete professional home inspection and produce a
professional home inspection report. In addition, the classroom courses
provide information on how to start, market, and build your own business.

Locksmith Training--Online
There are only an estimated 50,000 full-time locksmiths working in today’s
marketplace to handle the needs of a country of 300,000,000 people. This
course includes hands-on exercises with lecture and interaction,
including: how to disassemble, re-pin and reassemble Kwikset, Schlage and
import-type locks, drilling a lock, key identification, duplication,
impression and key code generation, hands-on master keying, lock picking,
and car opening. Commercial grade locks and fundamentals of a locksmith
business are also covered.

Personal Training Certification
This challenging course is taught over a 5-week period for better
retention and skill competency.
The
National Exam is held on the
6th
week. Fifteen
hours of hands-on, practical training prepares you to actually work with
clients one on one, and fifteen hours of lectures includes anatomy,
exercise physiology, nutrition, and health screening.
Proof of CPR/AED required. The
30-hour internship will prepare you to work successfully in the fitness
field. This is a great opportunity to network with employers, while
gaining valuable experience.
