The Mathematics Department at Westchester Community College offers a wide range of courses from developmental mathematics to Calculus and Differential Equations, and courses appropriate for various curricula such as Development of Mathematical Thought and Nature of Mathematics (both for Liberal Arts students). Mathematics for Elementary School Teachers, and Calculus for Business.  Depending on their curriculum, students are required to take at least one or two mathematics courses to meet graduation requirements.

The mathematics faculty are dedicated to helping their students be successful.  Professional interests include the mathematics of the stock market, developmental mathematics, using technology in mathematics, preparing the mathematics teachers of the future, and increasing the diversity of students in the mathematical and scientific disciplines.
