Background Information
I was born and grew up in England. After teaching mathematics at a secondary school in Manchester, England, I went to Kenya where I taught at a girls' high school in Nairobi, and then at a boys' high school on the island of Lamu in the Indian Ocean. My two children were born in Kenya. Since coming to the United States in 1982, I have taught at the University of Maryland in Princess Anne, Dundalk Community College in Dundalk, Maryland, and Ramapo College of New Jersey in Mahwah, New Jersey. I came to Westchester Community College in 1991. I love teaching at this community college with its population that is so diverse in every way.
