Doctor Bill Costanzo
I am a professor of English and film at Westchester Community College in Valhalla, New York, where I teach courses in writing, literature, and film studies. I also direct the College Writing Center and the Friday Night Film Series. Click in the right sidebar to learn more about my courses, office hours, vita, the Writing Center, the Film Series, or good websites. Since joining the Westchester Community College faculty in 1970, I have been interested in integrating new technologies into English education. In much of my teaching, writing, and speaking, my goal has been to widen traditional definitions of literacy to include computers and visual media like film and television. I hope to bring this approach to more students and teachers in my latest project: a new textbook for college writers now in production and tentatively entitled Writing In Sync.
