Background Information
I was born and raised in Yonkers, NY. I started my career designing hardware for a computer manufacturer. Then I worked in engineering management in developing the navigation system for the Polaris Submarine. I saw an ad in the paper for a professor in a computer engineering department in the College of Technology of CUNY. I applied and was accepted. This changed my life forever. I loved developing computer courses and labs to teach computer concepts. I loved being able to shape the lives of students and helping their careers. I continued to do consulting in the computer field so that I could keep up with this rapidly changing field. I bought back this knowledge to the classroom and labs. I accepted early retirement and continued to do consulting, but I missed full-time teaching.

In 2001, I saw an ad for a teaching position at Westchester Community College in the CIS department. I applied and was accepted at Westchester Community College. I was back in the environment that I loved, teaching and guiding students, and creating courses and labs. As a bonus, I no longer have to drive to Brooklyn AND I don’t have to hunt for a parking space in the street. It is a win-win-win situation for me and my students and for our college. 

I enjoy teaching rapidly changing technologies to enable our students to be very marketable. I recently developed Computer Security and Forensics courses that will be included in new programs in our department.
