The Office of Learning Initiatives and Success
The Office of Learning Initiatives and Success supports the academic and non-academic departments as they provide students with the foundational skills needed to be successful in college. The office complements the college’s primary commitment to providing accessible educational opportunities for underprepared students. We help foster timely college readiness in Reading, Mathematics, and English. We support the assessment and dissemination of data regarding the impact of programming for underprepared students and recommend policies and procedures for underprepared students. This office also houses the Coaching Connection Program. The Coaching Connection Program is committed to connecting students to the resources/services they need to meet their targeted graduation date by helping students understand college policies, procedures, and encouraging them to meet deadlines. Through collaboration with curriculum chairs we identify students in need of support services and make referrals to resources across campus.
