Non-High School Graduates
If you are over 17 years of age, a non-high school grad, and
have been officially out of high school attendance for at least one academic
year, you may be considered for admission to Westchester Community College
in our 24 Credit Hour GED program. The 24 Credit Hour GED Program is
sponsored by the New York State Department of Education and is designed to
assist non-high school grads earn their GED while, at the same time, earning
college credits.
To be eligible for WCC’s GED Program you must:
- Be at least 17 years of age and either not regularly enrolled in a
full time high school program of instruction for at least one year OR
your high school class must have already graduated.
- Currently be a resident of New York State for at least one month.
- Submit a Westchester Community College Admission Application to the
Admissions Office.
- Take the Westchester Community College ACCUPLACER exam and
meet the minimum scores for admission.

Informational Workshops at Westchester Community College below for more
