This course provides students with an opportunity
to develop their linguistic as well as communicative competencies in
Spanish based on readings of a literary and cultural nature while
providing for additional review of grammar in the context of the reading
selections. This course is conducted in Spanish. Class hrs. 3; Lab hrs.
1. Prerequisite: SPAN 102 Elementary Spanish II, SPAN 104 Beginning
Spanish Conversation II, three years of high school Spanish or the
equivalent. Offered fall semester.

Intermediate Spanish II |

Continuation of Intermediate Spanish 201. This
course continues to provide students with an opportunity to develop
their linguistic as well as communicative competencies in Spanish. The
readings are designed to broaden students’ knowledge of the different
countries that comprise the Spanish-speaking world. Audio and
videocassettes are also used to help further develop listening,
speaking, reading and writing skills within the scope of this
intermediate level course. This course is conducted in Spanish. Class
hrs. 3; Lab hrs. 1. Prerequisite: SPAN 201 Intermediate Spanish I or the
equivalent. Offered spring semester.

202 Intermediate Spanish II, native speakers, recommendation of the
