The recent Westchester Community College Foundation’s 40th Anniversary Spring for Scholarships fundraiser at Tappan Hill amassed $500,000 for the college. Christopher Buckley, novelist, editor of Forbes Magazine and former National Review columnist, was the keynote speaker. During the dinner, the Foundation announced a new full-year student scholarship in Buckley’s name.

DIVERSITY FELLOWS NAMED AT WESTCHESTER COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOR FALL 2009
As part of Westchester Community College’s “Year of Diversity,” the institution has created the Dr. Ford Teaching Fellowship Program, an initiative to further diversify the faculty. Under this fellowship program, fellows will serve as members of the adjunct faculty in addition to receiving mentoring and training from current full-time faculty members.

Congressman John Hall held a press conference at Westchester Community College to promote his support of the implementation of a new G.I. Bill which expands benefits for veterans.
