Student Government Wins Awards
Westchester Community College's student
government unit has won two major state awards. The Student Assembly of the State University
of New York has decided that not only is the college among one of the elite
institutions for its overall student government, but also for the student
government's wide range of student activities. Over the past year, a large number of student activities were held at the
college while, simultaneously, the student government worked to merge its two
boards (for full-time and part-time students) into one. Due to these
achievements, the SUNY Student Assembly named Westchester Community
College's student government as the top winner in both these areas.
