WESTCHESTER COMMUNITY COLLEGE DIVERSITY JOB FAIR FOR ADJUNCT FACULTY ATTRACTS HUNDREDS OF APPLICANTS

Westchester Community College’s recent Diversity Job Fair for Adjunct Faculty attracted approximately 400 applicants. Despite the downturn in the economy, the college has been expanding and now has the need for more instructors.

Now that the job fair has concluded, the college still has a number of adjunct openings on our main campus and at extension locations throughout the county. As the college expands, we anticipate even more openings over the next few years.

Those who attended the event learning about current openings for the summer and fall, received information on minority adjunct fellowships, met faculty, students, and administrators, and toured the campus. Most importantly, they shared their resumes with Human Resources representatives.

Westchester’s largest college continues to expand. Currently at record enrollment, we offer courses for more than 12,000 credit students and more than 13,000 non-credit students each semester. We’re in the midst of the construction of The Gateway Center, a 70,000 square foot building which will house even more students when it opens next year.
