GREAT BOOKS FORUM SERIES BEGINS IN OCTOBER

Westchester Community College is offering the opportunity to encounter classic and modern literature with its Great Books Forum Series beginning in October. Along with the works themselves, discussions focus on issues of context and interpretation. The theme of the next Great Books Forum is the novels and short stories by Albert Camus. The discussions in the library’s room 320 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. will be led by Professor Alan Devenish of the college’s English Department.

The Stranger - Thursday, October 7
Exile and the Kingdom -  Thursday, November 4
The Plague - Thursday, December 2

Participation is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. The Great Books Forum is sponsored by the English Department and is underwritten by the Cultural Arts Fund of the Faculty Student Association.
