ART HISTORIAN FROM METROPOLITAN MUSEUM
OF ART PRESENTS FREE SLIDE PRESENTATION
Art historian, author, and Metropolitan Museum of Art
lecturer Oliver Bernier will deliver a slide lecture hosted by President
Joseph N. Hankin and sponsored by the Jack and Ralynn Stadler Distinguished
Chair for Art and Culture in Society on Sunday, March 30. This presentation
was postponed due to harsh December weather.
Marie Antoinette, Queen of Fashion will be presented at 3:00 p.m. in
Westchester Community College’s Classroom Building,
Room 200. While enjoying extravagant luxury and a taste for the new, Marie
Antoinette did not believe in denying herself. She showed just how far a
Queen of France could go.
Although tickets are free, reservations for the
Distinguished Chair Lecture Series presentation are required. For
reservations, please phone the Westchester Community College Foundation at
914-606-6558. Individuals who had reservations for the event in December
should call to reconfirm.
