Director of Student Involvment Wins AwardWe are pleased to report that Patterson, New York resident Adam Frank, Westchester Community College’s Director of Student Involvement, recently received the 2012 C. Shaw Smith New Professional Award from NACA (National Association of Campus Activities). Adam also was the recipient of NACA’s Northeast Region David A. Ross New Professional Award in 2010. The C. Shaw Smith New Professional Award, established in February 1994, honors the memory of one of NACA’s most beloved founders. C. Shaw Smith’s support of new professionals entering campus activities is reflected in this annual award to recognize individuals who demonstrate the potential and commitment for excellence in service to student leaders. Among the criteria for this national award are making significant contributions to the areas of research and/or assessment for the advancement of campus activities, making a significant contribution to campus life, and displaying genuine support and regard for students; things that Adam certainly does on a daily basis.
