President's Forum sponsored by Entergy.

As Prince of Wales for several decades, and then as King of England from 1820 to 1830, George IV was a passionate hedonist. Firmly determined to have the best of everything –palaces, food, wine, clothes and mistresses- he accumulated huge debts, put on a tremendous amount of weight, and became generally despised. Happily, though, the best of everything included the arts, both fine and decorative. This lavishly illustrated lecture will look over the acquisitions of this feckless king who turned out to have made an unbeatable investment.

Art historian, author, and Metropolitan Museum of Art lecturer Oliver Bernier will deliver a lecture, hosted by President Joseph N. Hankin, and sponsored by the Jack and Ralynn Stadler Distinguished Chair for Art and Culture in Society.

Tickets are free, however reservations are required.  Please call Westchester Community College Foundation at 914-606-6558 to reserve.
