Adjunct Instructor/ Digital Arts. The Westchester Community College, Center for the Digital Arts is seeking adjunct instructors in 3D animation, flash animation and action scripting, web design, and interactive game design. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in the area of specialty from a recognized college or university as well as one year of practical experience is required. A Master’s degree is strongly preferred. Central Sterile Processing Program Instructor (Ossining Extension Center). The Ossining Extension Center is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach lecture and lab components. A minimum of 5 years of central sterile experience, two of which must have been in an instructional capacity, is required. The successful candidate must be a certified Central Sterile Technician or a Registered Nurse with central sterile experience. Teaching experience in a hospital setting or in a classroom is preferred. The program hours for fall 2010 are as follows: Friday & Saturday: October 1-December 11 (skip November 26-27), Friday: 5:30 pm-9:30 pm and Saturday: 10:00 am-2:00 pm.

PART-TIME

Technical Assistant (Computers), Ossining Extension Center
To assist faculty, students, and staff in the preparation and support of academic duties. The Technical Assistant will maintain computer equipment and inventory control within the Ossining Extension Center. S/he will also provide assistance in student support services. A High School Diploma or equivalent as well as a minimum of 1 year of computer technical experience is required. The work schedule is 4 days a week: Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. No benefits. $11/hr.
Technical Assistants
Technical Assistants to support the non-credit computing classes in Continuing Education on campus and at extension sites. These are hourly, as-needed positions that pay $11/hour. Work assignments are made on a course-by-course basis according to the current semester schedule. Classes begin and end at various times during the term and are of varying length and frequency of meeting. Day, evening, and weekend assignments are available. Tutor needed for writing, reading and ESL. Bachelors degree and one year experience in an educational setting, tutoring under-prepared students.

Math tutor needed for developmental and college level courses. BA/BS degree and one year of experience in an educational setting is required. $13/hr, flexible hours.

Senior Tutors: The Academic Support Center seeks Senior Tutors for biology, chemistry, writing, ESL, math, and reading. A BA/BS degree and a minimum of 1 year of tutoring experience within an educational setting are required. The successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills. Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite is required. Hours: day and/or evening, 10 + hours per week. Hourly wage: $13.00 per hour.
