TITLE OF POSITION/RANK: Program Administrator
(Westchester Community College) DEPARTMENT/DIVISION:
Student Affairs RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the
direction of the Vice President and Dean of Student Affairs at Westchester
Community College, the Program Administrator will oversee the planning,
development, implementation and administration of the Single Stop USA
Program. The Single Stop USA Program Administrator is responsible for
outreach to potential clients, benefits screening, counseling clients
through the application process, and referring clients to external service
providers for legal and financial advisement. Responsibilities
include:
- Developing and implementing the integration of partnering service
providers into a holistic service provision.
- Developing, conducting and/or supervising outreach efforts to
affiliate programs and directing the flow of participants into Single
Stop.
- Developing, conducting and/or supervising an intake and needs
assessment for Single Stop clients and facilitating referrals to
partnering service providers.
- Interacting with various units within the Division of Student
Affairs and other units at the College to ensure a coherent student
centered service process.
- Working closely with partnering Community Based Organizations,
overseeing and ensuring that follow-up services for both clients and
partnering agencies occurs with regard to referrals and assessing the
success of those outcomes.
- Recruiting and providing training for and supervises additional
staff and volunteers for the Single Stop program as directed by
Westchester Community College, the Division of Student Affairs in
collaboration with Single Stop USA.
QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of
relevant experience is required. A Master’s of Social Work or equivalent is
strongly preferred. Training in social work, counseling, student services,
and higher education administration is also required. S/he must have experience
providing intervention/advocate services to target client populations. Strong
communication and language skills are necessary. Experience working with a
large client population is strongly preferred. Bilingual Spanish/English is also
strongly preferred. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication
is required. Excellent time management, organizational and computer
software skills are also required. Experience with and commitment to working
with low-income families and individuals is strongly preferred.
POSITION EFFECTIVE: The position will remain open until
filled. SALARY & BENEFITS: The salary range is $64,685-$86,220 plus
excellent benefits. This position is fully grant funded
