Position AnnouncementThe following position requires familiarity with the community college philosophy and the ability to work within a culturally diverse college population. DEPARTMENT/DIVISION: Respiratory Care - Our Respiratory Care Program is fully accredited, respected and well-established program teaching a culturally diverse college population. TITLE OF POSITION/RANK: Instructor - We seek a dynamic, highly motivated, and energetic individual with excellent professional credentials and outstanding clinical skills with a commitment to teaching and administrative excellence to join and complement our faculty that teach two 15 week semesters RESPONSIBILITIES: Direct/coordinate the clinical component of the program, create clinical schedules & rotations, maintain related records, assist the Chairperson in preparing reports and maintaining compliance with accreditation standards, teach a reduced load of 14 contact hours per week, hold 5 office hours per week, assist in the revision of syllabi and curriculum development, conduct academic advisement. QUALIFICATIONS: RRT credential and New York State license required, computer literacy required, Bachelor's Degree required (Master's Degree preferred), min 1 year teaching experience in an academic or clinical setting required, CPFT/RPFT/NPS credentials desirable. POSITION EFFECTIVE: Spring 2008 SALARY & BENEFITS: Starting salary $52,545; excellent benefits.
