Position AnnouncementTITLE OF POSITION/RANK: Registrar DEPARTMENT/DIVISION: Registrar and Records/Student Affairs RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direction of the Vice President/Dean, within the division of Student Affairs, the Registrar has a broad responsibility for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of registration and academic records for the college. The Registrar plays a central role in enrollment management strategy and planning and will provide vision and innovative leadership for the office. The Registrar collaborates with student service offices and academic departments across the college to provide high quality, student centered services and is a key resource to administrators, faculty and staff requiring student information. The Registrar supervises a
staff of 8 and is responsible for planning, directing and monitoring all
aspects of student registration and recordkeeping for all students at the
Community College on a yearly basis.
Responsibilities involve ensuring that registration policies and
procedures are properly designed and implemented to best serve the needs of
students, faculty and administrators and to ensure that methods are
accurate, efficient and preserve the integrity of information.
The Registrar is responsible for improving student service by leading
the office in the development of cutting edge technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate must possess a
Master's degree and have at least 5 years of experience in an
enrollment-related area at the managerial level or above. The successful
candidate must also be an experienced leader with excellent management and
communication skills and a record of increasing responsibility in a
Registrar's office or related enrollment services area. Evidence of team
building experience, the highest ethical standards, and knowledge of best
practices regarding student record standards are required. Knowledge of and
direct experience with a student information system, PeopleSoft, is
preferred. POSITION EFFECTIVE: March 2012 SALARY &
BENEFITS: The salary range is $84,315-$130,788 plus excellent benefits.
