TITLE OF POSITION/RANK: Program Specialist
DEPARTMENT/DIVISION: ELI/Continuing Education
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Program Specialist will manage
the English Language Institute (ELI) programs at the southern extensions:
Port Chester, Mount Vernon, Cross County, and New Rochelle, including
testing, on-site open houses & registration, and faculty coordination &
supervision. The Program Specialist coordinates textbook selection and
ordering for all on and off-campus programs and serves as the ELI’s
International (F-1) Student Advisor. As a member of the ELI
administrative team, s/he will also assist with special projects, manage
routine and emergency communications between faculty and students, promote
programs under his/her management to optimize enrollment, and coordinate
substitutes and make-up classes during teacher absences. Regular evening and
Saturday coverage is required.
QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2
years of experience in the field of education, educational administration,
recruitment and/or training, or in the analysis of program operations,
marketing or customer service are required. The successful candidate
must possess knowledge of education programs and administrative procedures
in an educational environment. Excellent oral and written
communication skills are also required.
SALARY & BENEFITS: The starting salary is $54,460 plus
competitive benefits.
