TITLE OF POSITION/RANK: Associate Dean of Arts and
Humanities DEPARTMENT/DIVISION: Division of
Arts and Humanities RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Vice President and Dean of Academic Affairs, the Associate
Dean will lead faculty, academic programs, and the Departments of Arts
(Visual Arts and Film), Communication, Media & Performing Arts, English,
Modern Languages, and Reading & Study Skills.
The Dean will be a member of the College’s Academic Leadership
Council and will be responsible for divisional planning, budgets, and
evaluation of faculty and staff. QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of a Master’ degree in a related Arts/Humanities field; doctoral
degree preferred. 7 + years of
progressively responsible administrative experience required, and higher
education teaching experience preferred.
The successful candidate must demonstrate competence in managing
within a complex organization, encompassing a variety of service units in
multiple locations. The Associate
Dean must also possess a participatory management style, strong
interpersonal skills and a commitment to timely and dedicated service.
Effectiveness as a mediator and strong oral and written communication
skills are also required.
SALARY & BENEFITS: The salary range is $100,290-$148,540
commensurate with experience plus competitive benefits
