Message from Dr. Belinda S. Miles – February 26, 2015
Dear Campus Community,
As part of our obligation to the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), the College has been engaged in a Self-Study process for the past two years. This collaborative process brought each area of the college together to focus on how well we are fulfilling the College mission and the fourteen standards established by MSCHE to determine institutional effectiveness. The process allowed us to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement. Thank you for all who contributed.
We submitted the Self-Study document to the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) review team last week. They will review the document prior to their campus visit scheduled for March 29th thru April 1st. During the visit, the Evaluation Team members will be on campus reviewing documents and conducting meetings with members of the campus community. We have a Hospitality Team working on preparing the campus for the visit.
In the coming weeks, we will have more details regarding who the Evaluation Team members wish to interview. We will arrange as many group and individual meetings prior to their arrival to accommodate their requests but also anticipate that they will make some requests during the visit. Accordingly, please plan to be present at work on the visit days March 29th thru April 1st and keep your schedule flexible on these dates to ensure your availability if your expertise or insight is needed. We are also asking you to keep meeting rooms available during that time so we have appropriate accommodations for meetings.
We are working diligently to keep everyone informed and prepared for this significant event and will continue to share information as it is available. Please direct questions to your area Vice President or Dean. Thank you for your cooperation and active engagement in this important work!
Regards,
Belinda S. Miles
