Adjunct Faculty/Pharmacy Technician

Adjunct Faculty/Pharmacy Technician: The Pharmacy Technician program seeks a dynamic, highly motivated, energetic and skilled educator with strong professional and educational credentials to teach a diverse student population. The successful candidate will plan, prepare and deliver high quality, interactive, and engaging learning activities in a variety of class topics for the Pharmacy Technician program. S/he will also assist students to develop an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the health care profession.
Hourly Rate of Pay: $72.60/hour. No benefits. This position is fully grant funded.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited pharmacy program and hold a current NYS Pharmacist license with a minimum of one-year pharmacy work experience; or a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in life/health science and certified as a pharmacy technician with a minimum of 4 years’ experience. A minimum of one (1) year of teaching or training experience. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication and presentation skills are required. Ability to establish a rapport with students and maintain an environment that supports learning and promotes student retention.
