Adjunct Faculty/Billing and Coding
|Department/Division/Location: Westchester Educational Opportunity Center (WEOC)Hourly Rate of Pay: $72.60/hour. No benefits. This position is fully grant funded.
Adjunct Faculty Medical Coding: The Medical Billing and Coding program seeks a dynamic, highly motivated, energetic and skilled educator with strong professional and educational credentials to teach a diverse student population. The successful candidate will plan, prepare and deliver high quality, interactive, and engaging learning activities in Medical Billing and/or Coding classes for the Medical Billing and Coding Program. S/he will also assist students to develop an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the allied health profession.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration, Health Information Management or related field; a minimum of one-year teaching/training experience and a minimum of 2 years related work experience in the Medical Coding Field. Current CPC Certification and Master’s Degree in related field preferred. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication and presentation skills are required. Ability to establish a rapport with students and maintain an environment that supports learning and promotes student retention.
