Instructor – Sociology (Tenure Track)

DEPARTMENT/DIVISION:  Behavioral/Social Sciences

RESPONSIBILITIES:  The Department of Behavioral/Social Sciences seeks a highly motivated candidate to teach courses in Sociology.  In addition to a teaching load of 15 contact hours per semester, plus 5 office hours per week, the candidate will participate in departmental, college and appropriate professional activities.  Innovative and knowledgeable individuals with demonstrated experience in instructional technology, distance learning, and student-centered approaches to course and program development are encouraged to apply.

QUALIFICATIONS:  A Master’s degree in Sociology is required; a PhD is strongly preferred.  One year teaching experience is also required.

POSITION EFFECTIVE:  Fall 2014

SALARY & BENEFITS: The starting salary $57,415 plus competitive benefits. (Hiring is subject to the availability of funds).
