Instructor of Education (Tenure-Track)
DEPARTMENT/SCHOOL: Education Department / School of Business and Professional Careers
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Education Department seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure-track instructor position to teach courses in Elementary and Adolescent Education and to serve as the Curriculum Chairperson. The position requires 15 contact hours plus a minimum of five office hours per week. In addition, the instructor is responsible for developing and updating courses, curricula, and assessment methods; providing academic and career advisement to students; and supervising student internships. The instructor is expected to participate in department, school and college-wide committees, initiatives and events as well as professional development activities, and to keep abreast of trends in Education on all levels.
QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of a Master’s degree in Education (Elementary and Adolescent Education); one (1) year college level teaching experience required; Three (3)years of classroom teaching experience strongly preferred.
POSITION EFFECTIVE: Fall 2017
SALARY & BENEFITS: The starting salary is $57,415 plus excellent benefits.
