Department/Division/Location: Nursing/School of Health Careers, Technology and Applied Learning
Hourly Rate of Pay: $79.36/hour. No benefits.
Responsibilities: To supervise patient care provided by a group of students (usually 6 to 8 students in a group) while they complete their clinical rotation in your area of specialty. Coordinates with clinicians at the clinical site to make student patient assignments. Teaching students how to perform duties/skills in the clinical site. Facilitate the development of critical thinking. Be available in the clinical area for student questions. Evaluates students’ clinical work, provides written and verbal feedback. Communicates with Clinical Coordinators regarding students’ progress. Attend required hospital orientation programs.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in Nursing, a license as an RN in the state of New York, and have at least two years of clinical experience. A ten (10) point drug screen as well as receive the Influenza Vaccine annually is required. Recent teaching experience in Behavior Health, Mother/Baby, and/or Adult Health Nursing is preferred.
