Interlibrary Loan Policies and Procedures
Policies:
- Services are available to current students, faculty staff and administrators.
- Maximum 5 requests per person at a time.
- WCC does not charge for ILL services. However, in rare cases the lending library may charge.
You will be informed of any fees before they are imposed.
- Delivery of materials can take up to 1-3 weeks.
- Current WCC ID required.
The loan period is usually 4 weeks.
- You may request renewal before the due date by contacting the ILL department by email, phone, or in person.
- Renewals are often granted at the discretion of the lending library.
- Books may be picked up at the Library circulation desk.
- Articles are mailed to the student's home address, or through WCC employees' inter-office mail.
On-Site Pick-Up:
- This is an EMERGENCY SERVICE provided by the Harold L. Drimmer Library as part of a cooperative
agreement among local college libraries.
- It requires pre-arrangement between WCC librarians and the librarians at the lending libraries.
- Students pick up the books themselves at the lending libraries , and return them to the WCC Library. Maximum 2
requests. Next day service, except weekends.
Procedures:

- Request by e-mail: email to: LibraryInterLibraryLoan@sunywcc.edu.
- Request in person: Weekday Office Hours: 8:30am to 4:30pm. ILL Office, LIB 206, 207.
- Evenings/Weekends: the
librarian at the reference desk will take the information and the ILL Office will follow up the next day.
