The Student Code of Conduct establishes a fair and transparent process for the adjudication of alleged violations. The Student Code of Conduct seeks to be educational, not punitive, in nature while also ensuring that the interest and well-being of the greater college community and its members are protected. Student Government Association www.sunywcc.edu/sga The Student Government Association (SGA) is the group through which the voice of the student body is heard. The objective of the SGA is to effectively represent the interests of the student body by communicating student needs and positions to the administration, staff, and faculty. Partnering with the Department of Student Involvement, the SGA also recognizes a variety of clubs for students to participate in. Utilizing an allocation of the student activity fee as authorized by the WCC Faculty Student Association (FSA), the SGA sponsors a number of student programs and initiatives that enhance the student experience. The Student Government Association is run by elected student officers who comprise the SGA Senate and Executive Board. Elections for Senators are held during the fall and elections for the Executive Board are held in the spring. A student is responsible for knowing and adhering to all information sent to them via their MyWCC email. Student ID Card www.sunywcc.edu/security Students are required to have their Student ID card with them at all times while on campus. Students will need their cards to use the athletic facilities, enter the library, take out library books, or to enter special events held at the college. If a college official (faculty, staff, or administrator) asks to see a student’s Student ID card, they are required to present it. Failure to do so could result in disciplinary action. To obtain your Student ID visit the Security Office, located in Room 118 of the Student Center. Just bring your paid tuition receipt and photo identification. Your first ID card is free.
