REMOTE Art and Artists on Film Cinema is an art form that captures the world in motion. The art of painting arrests that movement, presenting the world at a moment in time. This course explores how movies interact with masterworks of painting and the artists who create them. Using film clips from recent films, we will focus on selected painters representing a range of artistic styles, eras, and national traditions, including Vincent Van Gogh, J. M. W.
